Shocking news today… James Van Der Beek has died at just 48 after a private battle with colorectal cancer. His family says he passed peacefully and faced his final days with grace.
Most of us remember him as Dawson from Dawson’s Creek – one of the biggest shows of its era. I watched it growing up too, even if I was (probably) too young to fully relate. Still, it shaped a big piece of the era, and he felt like someone we all grew up with.
Its a reminder of how much we don’t see beneath the surface. He leaves behind his wife, Kimberly, and their six children.
A sad loss and a sudden one for a whole generation who grew up with him.
