Very sad news for Grey’s Anatomy fans. Eric Dane — our McSteamy — has passed away at 53 after battling ALS, with symptoms that began in 2024. Such a cruel disease. I watched my own grandmother go through it, and it’s heartbreaking to see someone’s strength slowly taken away.My heart truly goes out to his wife, Rebecca Gayheart, and their two daughters. Gone way too soon. Many will remember him as Dr. Mark Sloan and from Euphoria, but I also loved him in Charmed and Burlesque — more my lane. I admire that he used his platform to raise awareness and support ALS research. He was surrounded by loved ones in his final days.
Rest in peace, Eric Dane.
