I can’t even wrap my mind around this! Seattle Seahawks QB Sam Darnold will pay more in taxes for the Super Bowl than He actually made playing the game. It’s because of our state’s, “Jock tax,” for out-of-state players that’s based on how many “duty days,” they spend in California for the game. In Darnold’s case, he’ll be charged for at least eight,  which means the QB will have to fork over up to $250,000. The NFL pays players on the winning Super Bowl team $178,000.
