Most pancakes are pretty simple: batter, pan, flip, done. Some butter. Some syrup. BOOM!
But a video from London chefs shows a completely different approach: pancakes that are almost soufflé-like, super tall, and perfectly round.
Instead of just mixing batter, the chefs whip egg whites and carefully fold everything together so the pancakes stay light and fluffy while they cook. The result is a stack that looks almost too perfect to eat.
Then they finish it with a maple butter glaze that slowly melts over the top.
Watching it is honestly kind of mesmerizing.
Now don’t get me wrong – I follow a lot of food blogs and chefs and I love watching how the pros do it. But I’m still firmly in amateur territory myself when it comes to cooking like this.
And if you asked me to actually make pancakes this way at home? High probability I might just DoorDash instead.
