Paul McCartney Is Playing the Fonda | Freddy Rivera |

Paul McCartney is set to play two intimate shows at the Fonda Theatre in Hollywood on Friday, March 27 and Saturday, March 28. AXS says these are his first live performances since the end of his Got Back Tour 2025, which makes this even bigger.

And that is the part that really gets me. The Fonda is small. Really small for someone like Paul McCartney. Think House of Blues – maybe even smaller.

I’ve seen Paul twice. First time was Coachella in 2009, then again a few years later in Austin. And I still remember that Coachella crowd singing Hey Jude in unison. Most of that audience was probably not even alive during the Beatles era, and yet there they were, there WE were, all locked into that song together. Goosebumps. It is hard to describe moments like that unless you have lived one.

That is why this Fonda announcement feels so huge. Paul is one of those artists who already feels larger than life on a massive stage. So the idea of seeing him in a room that intimate feels almost unreal.

If you are a Beatles fan, a Paul fan, or just somebody who loves those rare live music moments that people talk about for years, this is one of those shows. No question.

..and if anyone needs a concert buddy… just sayin’.
