If you have been thinking about adopting a pet, this weekend might be the perfect time.

Riverside County Animal Services is holding its Midnight March Muttness adoption event on Saturday, March 21. The Riverside, San Jacinto, and Coachella shelters will be open from 10 in the morning until midnight, and all adoptions are free.

I got my own dog from someone who could not keep him in their apartment, and now General Patton is one of the best decisions I ever made. He is a Miniature Pinscher and Chihuahua mix, smart as can be, and talks a lot of mean.

So if you have been thinking about giving a dog or cat a home, this might be your sign.
