Elizabeth Smart continues to inspire by refusing to let the past define her. Smart’s story horrified the world when at just 14, she was abducted from the bedroom of her Salt Lake City home and held captive for nine months before being rescued. Fast forward to today though. Smart’s s now a wife, a mom of three and showcasing her strength on stage as a competitive bodybuilder. Smart took home an award in the novice category, plus two additional medals at a recent competition. Smart says she initially kept quiet about this new chapter of life, but is now ready to share the journey. Smart says her body has carried her through some of the hardest moments of her life and she refuses to feel ashamed of it.
