If you’re someone who travels with a power bank, this might catch you off guard.
American Airlines is rolling out new restrictions starting May 1, and it’s all about safety. You’ll now be limited to two portable chargers, each under a certain size, and they can’t be stored in the overhead bin. They also have to stay within reach and you won’t be allowed to charge the charger during the flight.
It might sound a little strict, but it comes after a rise in battery-related incidents on planes. Airlines are taking it more seriously now, especially with how many of us travel with multiple devices.
So if you’ve got a trip coming up, might be worth checking what you’re packing before you head out.
