Drivers in Phoenix recently witnessed a seaplane make an emergency landing right on a city street after the pilot experienced mechanical problems. Remarkably, the pilot was able to bring the aircraft down safely between cars without causing any major injuries. Video from the scene looks like something straight out of a movie.

As a student pilot myself, I can tell you this is the kind of situation every aviator hopes they never face. At the same time, it is also a reminder of just how much skill and composure it takes to land an aircraft safely when chaos ensues.

Fortunately, everyone involved appears to be okay, and the unusual landing has quickly gone viral online.
