U2 gave fans in Mexico City a pretty unforgettable surprise.
The band was spotted filming what appears to be a new music video in the city’s historic center, performing on a graffiti-covered bus while fans gathered around for the impromptu-style shoot.
The video is reportedly for a new song called “Street of Dreams,” and the whole thing had that classic U2 feel: big visuals, real streets, real people, and a moment that felt larger than life.
Then it got even better. When a thunderstorm rolled in, the band reportedly took shelter inside a nearby stranger’s home, where the family graciously welcomed them in for a moment. Someone even caught part of that unexpected visit on video, making the whole story feel even more surreal.
Imagine looking outside during a storm and realizing Bono is at your door.
I last saw U2 live at Sphere in Las Vegas, which makes this even more fun to watch. And of course, Sphere is now home to No Doubt, which we are giving away tickets to all this week on KOLA 99.9.
No official release date has been announced yet for the video, but if this is any indication, U2 may be getting ready for another big visual moment.
